🔒 Our Privacy Promise To Creators
At Aston, we built our retro pseudo-3D photo editing tool with one non-negotiable core principle: your photos, your creations, and your data belong 100% to you, and we have no interest in collecting, storing, or sharing any of it.
Unlike many creative tools that rely on cloud processing or AI training data harvesting, all of Aston's geometric slicing and isometric offset algorithms run entirely locally on your device. You don't need an internet connection to access any core features, and none of your work is ever transmitted to our servers at any point.
📊 What Data We (Don't) Collect
To put it simply: we collect almost no data at all, and any data that exists stays fully under your control:
No account or personal identifying information required: You can use every single feature of Aston, from full parameter adjustment to high-resolution exports, without ever providing us your name, email address, location, or any other personal details.
No access to your photos or device data without explicit permission: We only request access to your device's photo library if you choose to import an image for editing, and imported files are never transmitted off your device at any point during or after the editing process. Temporary editing previews and cache files are stored only locally on your device, and are automatically deleted when you close the app or clear its cache.
No hidden tracking or analytics: We do not embed any third-party tracking tools, usage analytics, or advertising SDKs in Aston. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, what styles you prefer, or what content you create.
Only information you voluntarily share: The only time we receive any information from you is if you choose to send us an email to report a bug, request a feature, or share your creations. Any information you include in these communications is provided entirely at your discretion.
🤍 How We Use (And Never Use) Your Information
Since we do not collect any user data automatically, there is no large pool of user information we can use or share. For the small amount of information you might choose to voluntarily send us:
We will never use your voluntarily provided contact information for marketing purposes, send you unsolicited messages, or add you to any mailing lists unless you explicitly request to be added.
We will never sell, rent, or share your voluntarily provided information with any third parties for any reason.
We only store your voluntary communications for as long as is necessary to respond to your inquiry, resolve your request, or address the issue you reported.
If you send us samples of your Aston creations, we will never share them publicly on our social media, website, or marketing materials without your explicit written permission.
🔌 Third Party Services
Aston does not share any user data with third parties, because we do not collect any user data to begin with. If you download Aston from a third-party app store, the app store provider may collect certain information related to your download as outlined in their own separate privacy policies. We have no control over and are not responsible for the data practices of third-party app store platforms.
🎛️ Your Full Control Over Your Data
Because all editing processes and temporary files stay on your local device, you retain complete control over all your data at all times:
You can delete any imported photos, edited exports, and app cache files directly through your device's storage settings at any time.
You can uninstall Aston from your device at any time to remove all temporary data associated with the app, with no leftover data stored on our servers (since we never collected any in the first place).
You do not need to submit any data deletion or access requests to us, as we hold no data related to your use of Aston.
🔄 Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes to our app features or privacy practices. If we make any material changes, we will post a prominent in-app notification the next time you open Aston. Your continued use of Aston after the update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
